It is incredibly the seventh degree in which he has been a member for 50 years and Dep P.G.M. W. Bro. Keith Beardmore accompanied by Ass. PGM Ian Nairn were on hand to help George and Southport Lodge celebrate.

After detailing George's Masonic and non Masonic careers in the Lodge the Dep. P.G.M invited W. Bro. Rod Benison to read three certificates, which he had delivered on behalf of the Provincial Secretary.

The certificates from Grand Lodge, Prov. Grand Lodge and from Scotland were then presented to George to great acclamation from the Brethren present.

W. Bro. Wilkie was recently appointed to PrRAMGR at the Provincial Assembly in Leyland.

At the festive board later the W. Com. Bro Kevin Collins presented George with a gift from the brethren to mark the occasion, a bottle of old malt whisky and a suitably inscribed crystal whisky glass to sample the nectar.

To top off the evening George even won the raffle!!!

It was also announced on the evening that Lodge Scribe W. Bro Brian Skinner was to be appointed to RAM GR in London in December, fitting reward for his dedication to the Lodge and RAM Degree.
